SALT LAKE CITY -
The University of Utah athletics department would like to thank the 200 new donors who have "Invested in Excellence" during the first two weeks of our major fund-raising campaign.
Success in the Pac-12 and on the national stage means building our programs and facilities up to a new standard of excellence.
Currently, the U. has the lowest annual athletics budget in the Pac-12. In order to be successful, we need to close the funding gap between the Utes and the rest of the conference, and provide the facilities and resources for our coaches and student-athletes to be champions.
Our campaign is seeking a $150 million investment in Utah Athletics. A third of that, or $50 million, will come from our anticipated Pac-12 revenues. The remaining $100 million must come from private sources.
