2008 Utah Summer Football Camps

1. How do I register?

Registration is done on-line. Visit the Athletic web page at www.utahutes.com. Click on Sports at the top (upper left), drop down menu will appear. Click on Football. Go to the middle of that page and look for the tab Camps. Then click Utah Football Camps. Then click on "Register For Camps go!" Follow the instructions as prompted. Or to go directly to site:

2. What are the age requirements?

For Youth - Ages 7 YEARS old up to entering 9th Grade. For High School - Camp is for students entering 10th, 11th or 12th Grade (9th Grade Optional (entering Fall 2008).

3. What is the refund policy?

Full Refunds will be given minus a $20 processing fee for those who cancel before May 31st. After May 31st, a $100 cancellation fee will apply to all those who cancel their reservation. Once the camp has started, refunds will only be given due to injury that keeps the participant out of practice. This has to be confirmed by a physician and can only be refunded up to the percentage of practice missed.

4. Do I register on-line only?

Yes, registration is done on-line only unless you do not have access to Internet. In the event, contact Mark Andersen at mandersen@huntsman.utah.edu or call 587-7848.

5. Are there any Overnight Youth Camps?

No. All Youth Camps are Commuters. They have to be dropped off and picked up daily. (See Itinerary for times)

6. Where do the High School Overnight Campers Stay?

High School Campers will stay in our dorms (check-in and directions given at first day of Camp) at Football Facility, 580 S. Guardsman Way, unless other arrangements have been made - contact Helen Buchanan at hbuchanan@huntsman.utah.edu. All overnight campers are required to pay a $50 damage deposit at registration. (Returned when dorm room is "cleared" by staff). Please make this damage deposit by check made payable to Utah Football Camps. Bring $50 at time of check-in.

7. What do the High School Overnight Campers need to bring?

Overnight Campers need to bring towel/wash cloth, toiletries, pillow and bedding for a twin-size bed. Sleeping bags are acceptable and work well. Can bring any personal items (no valuables please).

8. Can High School Overnight Campers request a specific roommate?

Yes, specific roommates can be requested. Please contact Mark Andersen at mandersen@huntsman.utah.edu or call 587-7848.

9. What is the difference between a Commuter and an Overnight Camper?

A Commuter is a player who is dropped off and picked up daily. Does not stay overnight in dorms.

10. Who do I make check payable to?

Checks for any reason directed to camps, should be made payable to Utah Football Camps

11. When and Where do parents drop off their Campers?

Parents will drop off and pick up campers at the Football Facility located at 580 S. Guardsmn Way (1580 East between 500 South and 800 South). This is known as the Dee Glenn Smith Athletics Center, between the indoor Eccles Tennis and indoor Eccles Practice facilities.

12. What football equipment can I rent and how much does it cost?

Each camper must be properly outfitted with a helmet, chin strap, shoulder pads, jersey, pants, undershirt, athletic supporter, socks, knee pads, thigh pads, hip and tail pads, mouth piece and shoes (football cleats, grass and turf). Equipment can be rented for a flat fee of $40 (does not include shoes, socks, athletic supporter or under clothing). If only one or two items needs to be rented, a flat fee of $10 will be charge.

13. Is there a team discount given to High Schools?

All High School team discounts need to be handled through Coach Jay Hill. Please contact him at jhill@huntsman.utah.edu

14. What if a Camper does not have any medical insurance?

All campers must have their own primary medical insurance. Camp provides a secondary medical insurance to all campers.
