In a poll of media members who cover the Mountain West Conference, the Utah football team was predicted to finish second in its final year in the league. The Utes received 242 points to finish behind TCU (279 points).

Single-game tickets to five of Utah's six home football games will go on sale to Crimson Club members on Thursday, July 29 at 10 a.m., and to the general public on Monday, Aug. 2 at 10 a.m.

Utah head coach Bill Kinneberg and USA Baseball started their overseas trip with a pair of losses to Chinese Taipei before bouncing back to win the final two games of the series. The team now heads to Japan, where the FISU World University Baseball Championships begin on Friday in Tokyo.
